Basic Medical Terminology introduces the terminology that is most commonly used in entry-level healthcare positions. During this course, you will study definitions, spelling, and proper application of medical terminology, abbreviations, and acronyms.
HOHA 1100 Nurse Assistant90 Hours
Nurse Assistant introduces a holistic approach of safely caring for patients in a variety of healthcare settings. During this course, you will study how healthcare systems operate and your role as part of a healthcare team. You will explore your legal and ethical responsibilities as a nurse assistant; as well as workplace safety, effective communication, basic nursing skills, and basic body structure, function, and diseases. You will use the concepts presented in this course to help you develop the skills necessary to complete the Nurse Assistant and Home Health Skill Lab course.
HOHA 1200 Home Health Aide45 Hours
Home Health Aide introduces nurse assistant skills and concepts specific to caring for residents in their homes, including infection prevention, safety in the home, basic nutrition and meal prep, and time management. You will use the concepts presented in this course to help you develop the skills necessary to complete the Nurse Assistant and Home Health Skill Lab course.
HOHA 1500 Nurse Assistant and Home Health Skill Lab90 Hours
Nurse Assistant and Home Health Skill Lab offers the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to become a successful nurse assistant and home health aide. You will practice basic nursing, personal care, and home health skills. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to schedule hands-on clinical training in the Nurse Assistant Clinical course.
HOHA 2100 Nurse Assistant Clinicals30 Hours
Nurse Assistant Clinicals requires students to complete hands-on clinical training at a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. Training is supervised by state approved clinical instructors.
