Three Davis Tech students sweep SAMPE competition

Congratulations to our Composite Materials Technology students for sweeping the state SAMPE bridge contest this year! This competition, held once a year at SLCC, requires students to design and build miniature bridges from composite materials according to contest rules. The bridges are tested for load-bearing capacity at 15,000 lbs.

This year's winners are:
1st place: Rebekah Hamblin
2nd place: Thomas Dedman
3rd place: Adam Owens

All three students will receive their awards at a dinner to be held at Ogden-Weber Tech. They have also been invited to compete in the national contest in Long Beach, California on May 23. Congratulations and good luck at the next level of competition. We'll be cheering you on!
